It was an everyday hike when we passed by and spotted a huge gap. Dimitris Liossis was saying we should start building it and I wasn’t sure about it so we kept going.
A week later we went back to double check it. I was so confused that it took me very long to make a decision. After 40 minutes of thinking, Dimitris asked: “Hey George, should we build it or should we leave?” It was a moment of a million thoughts and a question of commitment.
After 3 hours of work with Jason and Dimitri, the weather suddenly changed to a storm. We had to go but I didn’t want to turn my back on it.
Six days later, the weather was clear and we went back to complete it. Fresh snow made our work easier and the spot safer.
Finally, when the gap was accomplished, friends renamed the spot. I think it was worth a try, don’t you think?
