Snowboarding’s good, but with friends… it’s better. That was the concept of a special day back in 2008, when a few friends of mine found this spot in Parnitha and built this mini quarter pipe. They were digging and shaping it for almost two days in a row (since they had to cover a huge hole) and it was kept as a secret for a special day.
26th of February 2008. Dimitris’ birthday. Everything was organized: The cake was there, the quarter pipe was ready and a special guest was with us. It was Nate Bozung.
It was a last minute invitation. I remember I got so excited that I even forgot my snowboard pants at home and had to borrow one extra pair from Manolis. But it was the last thing that mattered.
We got there, the music was on, the shred started and the birthday boy grew up. A day of what fun is really all about.
