It was a year after I had an injury where I lost the whole 2005 winter season.
Having a sedimentation vertebrae (a kind of a spinal dislocation), I had to face the “endless road”, where waking up every morning meant nothing more than lying in bed all day long for healing and resting.
As I was recovering, all my passion for snowboarding became more intense. Mental progress never stopped and I had lust for life.
I remember the day I did that 540 and it was like I had done it a thousand times before. Yes, it was my first time. A perfect tweaked and smooth landed backside 540, out of the blue, with no practice nor training. A memorable day…
Thanks to Theo Vranas for capturing this. It means a lot to me.
